Bad week for us, good week fer da unintentional comedy

Jon Stewart mocked Fox News, comparing the network to someone trying really hard to hide an erection and intercutting their reaction with clips of the phallic Shake Weight.

Stewart went on to note that Fox News anchors seemed to be reveling in the fact that Scott Brown and his family are becoming celebrities. Pointing out the hypocrisy of this, he recapped what Fox News has thought of political celebs in the past, as the network has repeatedly bashed Obama for being a celebrity, rather than an experienced politician.

Justifiably ripping the Democrats for screwing things up...

LOUD NOISES! GOPsychosis isn't working

New Gallup numbers on political affiliation.

30 solidly blue states. 354 electoral votes.

4 solidly red. Four. Utah, Wyoming, Alaska and Idaho. 15 electoral votes.

Throw in the leaners. 8 leaning blue adds 86 for a total of 439. 1 leaning red. One. That brings the Republicans to 24.

Look at the shift. VA, IN, OH, KY, MO are all solidly Democratic. FL, GA and TN - Tennessee fer Chris'sakes - are leaning Democratic.

Clear enough for ya? 439-24. The crazy is having the opposite effect.

Democratic Senate screws average Americans for 2nd time in 2 weeks; this time it's credit cards

I guess we know who owns who...

And by the way, you got screwed on health care last week.
(New York Times)
Despite complaints that banks and credit card companies are gouging customers by charging outrageous interest rates, the Senate on Wednesday easily turned back an effort to cap interest rates at 15 percent.

The effort by Senator Bernie Sanders, the Vermont independent, drew only 33 votes and needed 60, with a bipartisan group of 60 senators opposing it as the Senate pushed its credit card overhaul toward the finish line. Some Democrats and consumer groups have said that an interest cap is needed to put real teeth into an otherwise solid bill. (More...)
